About the band
A beautiful rock and roll chaos in a desert of sound, a 5 piece music machine re-inventing the genre and never afraid to push the boundaries or take it to the next level. Alternative electro rock and roll punks who fuse electronics with fuzzy guitars backed by a pulsating backbeat armed with a hand full of eyeliner. From the explosion of ‘What’s Happened’ to the debut album ‘Midnight In The Drawn City’ through to torment and almost electro pop of 2012’s ‘Frenzy’ you can’t say that Suzerain skip round the music fire, they jump straight in. Never a dull moment with these gents just a full on rock' n' roll explosion in a whirl of colours, burning a smouldering path of sound and vision they are here to entertain. Acclaimed producer Steve Lyon (Depeche Mode, the Cure, Siouxsie Sioux) stokes the fire. To truly appreciate the Suzerain machine catch them live, sit back and let the music take you over and the energy burn. They have shared stages across the UK and Europe with Gary Numan, White Rose Movement, Mando Diao, Jennifer Rostock, Franz Ferdinand, IAMX, The Alarm, Visage, and many more sometimes invited, sometimes they just stormed it. “Asking them to join us at in Hyde Park for BT London Live was a no-brainer, the guys of course delivered the goods in true Suzerain style with razor sharp musicianship and great songs. They drew in a great crowd and owned them until the last note. One of the hardest working bands I know, I buy their music as a fan” - Pete Webber, Live Nation “these guys have their dynamics nailed. You just need to listen again and again to take it all in and appreciate the impeccable production and song-writing" - Clink Magazine
